Value Stream Mapping

Value Stream is used to Distinguish from Value-added to non-value added activities. It is named as Value Stream Mapping.

The purpose of training:

Value Stream Mapping is one of the best important tools between lean production techniques. VSM is a method that analyzes stream of value-added and non-value added activities for production and service sector. It makes it easy  to see the whole  by following streams and products than dealing with the details in the processes While participants learn basic concepts of this method, they qualify about details of mapping and  which steps should be taken care.

The expected benefits of establishing VSM training include:

  • While VSM responds to customer request, it enables us with the value that our processes create.
  • All levels in each processes are identified and understanding of process is provided.
  • Between management and employees corresponding with flow material and information provides visual communication.
  • Revealing of bottlenecks that take place in value stream.

  • Value Stream Mapping of future situation
  • Making Kaizen plan
  • Implementation of Kaizen plan
  • Measurement of results

Senior managers, mid-level managers and white-collar employees.

Duration:

1 or 2 days+ field work exercise

Training requirements:

Training room, projector, white board, flipcharts, colored pens, colorful stickers, Preparation board for teamwork(A4 paper), sticky tape, audio systems for video , voluntary participation.
