Inventory Management Training | Grupas Training & Development
Inventory is one of the largest items of tied-up capital on a company's balance sheet. Grupas' Inventory Management Training is a comprehensive program that covers inventory strategies, control methods, cost analyses and performance indicators from end to end. Participants learn all the core tools: from the reasons for holding stock and its costs to ABC and ABC–XYZ analysis; from deterministic models such as EOQ (Economic Order Quantity), the reorder point and the quantity discount model to probabilistic models including safety stock calculations. The program is supported by group work, sample applications and real-life case studies.
What the Program Brings to Your Company
- Reduced tied-up capital: Preventing over- or under-stocking to free up working capital and improve cash flow.
- Lower total inventory cost: Accurate calculation and optimization of ordering, production setup, purchasing, holding and stock-out costs.
- Correct ordering decisions: Data-driven answers to "when and how much should we order?" through EOQ, reorder point and safety stock models.
- High inventory accuracy: Reducing count discrepancies with inventory records, stock control systems and the 7-step inventory control approach.
- Prioritized inventory management: Focusing on critical items through ABC–XYZ and Pareto analyses, with automation for low-priority items.
- Measurable performance: Sustainable monitoring with indicators such as inventory turnover rate (times/day), stock ageing, IQR and average inventory value.
- Protected service levels: Increasing production continuity and customer delivery performance by reducing the risk of running out of stock.
