Conflict and Mediation Workshop – For Managers (180–240 Minutes)
Tensions in the workplace rarely resolve on their own; the wrong or a late intervention leads to loss of trust, defensive behavior and declining performance. Grupas' Conflict and Mediation Workshop is a hands-on workshop that equips managers with the ability to diagnose conflict accurately, mediate impartially and turn tension into constructive dialogue.
The program is built on the psychology of conflict, the diagnosis of conflict types and a 6-step structured mediation model (setting the ground, listening to the parties separately, identifying common ground, clarifying needs, solution options, a concrete agreement). Participants gain practice through role plays based on realistic scenarios such as workload sharing, visibility, tone and respect, areas of authority, and performance–behavior tension; at the end of the workshop they design a concrete Conflict Intervention Plan for their own teams.
Method: workshop-style practice, case analysis, role play, group reflection and structured feedback. It can be delivered in two versions: a 180-minute format and an in-depth 240-minute format.
Corporate Benefits
- Early resolution of tensions: by recognizing early warning signals, conflicts are managed before they escalate.
- Reduced performance loss: the trust–behavior–performance chain created by the wrong intervention is broken.
- Increased trust: the principle of impartiality and a safe ground for dialogue strengthen trust within the team.
- More open communication: thanks to language that lowers defensiveness, issues are discussed instead of suppressed.
- Stronger leadership effectiveness: managers clarify their role as mediators and have a plan that guides them in moments of crisis.
- Systematic conflict management: a repeatable intervention structure is established instead of person-dependent solutions.
Who Is It For?
Middle managers, team leaders, project managers, function owners and leaders actively managing people. Recommended group size for role plays: 8–16 people.
