OEE – Overall Equipment Effectiveness (Manufacturing Excellence)

Do you know how effectively your production lines and machines are really working? Our OEE – Overall Equipment Effectiveness program delivers a standardized, comprehensive framework for measuring and improving the effectiveness of production lines and equipment. By combining the three key factors — Availability, Performance and Quality — OEE turns raw production data into actionable insight on utilization, speed and first-pass yield.

The program covers both perspectives that manufacturers need: Managerial OEE, which evaluates facility-level performance and the impact of management decisions (order levels, product mix, shift schedules, holidays and breaks, standard times, strategic goals); and Operational OEE, which measures the performance of a specific production line or workstation (operational downtime, productivity, speed performance, quality performance, error identification and corrective actions). Participants learn the OEE–loss relationship, the six loss categories (failures, setup & adjustments, breakdowns, speed loss, process failures, productivity loss) and work through practical calculation examples using standardized formulas.

Key Benefits

  • Visibility: a clear, factory-wide view of equipment effectiveness at every level
  • Actionable: data-driven insights that convert measurement into improvement
  • Loss Identification: identify and quantify hidden losses in the production process
  • Prioritization Support: rank measured losses to launch targeted improvement actions with the highest payback
  • Standardized: consistent measurement and easy calculation across all equipment and plants
  • Scalable: applicable to any production environment, line or workstation
  • Better decisions: align resource allocation, shift planning and product mix with strategic objectives
  • Higher efficiency: reduce unplanned downtime, close the gap between actual and ideal output, and improve quality metrics

Who Is It For?

Manufacturing companies and factories aiming for operational excellence — plant and production managers, maintenance and continuous improvement teams, quality and industrial engineering functions, and executives who need reliable facility-level performance measurement to guide investment and capacity decisions.
