Manager Language – An Awareness Training for Managers
The language a manager uses directly shapes the team's trust, motivation and performance. Grupas' "Manager Language" awareness training helps managers recognize the difference between judgmental language and curious language; it shows how vague expectations turn into performance risk and provides a practical feedback model that reduces defensiveness.
The program consists of the following modules: the psychology of manager language, the distinction between judgmental and curious language, a model for setting clear expectations, a 4-step short feedback model (describe the situation – state the behavior – explain its impact – clarify the expectation) and personal language reflection. The training is delivered in an active, hands-on format through interactive presentation, case analysis, role play and sentence transformation exercises. Depending on your organization's needs, it is run as a 60-minute awareness training or a 90-minute in-depth version, with groups of 8–18 participants.
