AIAG Core Tools FMEA – Failure Mode and Effects Analysis Training
Grupas' FMEA training, based on the AIAG / VDA FMEA 1st Edition 2019 manual, is designed to identify potential failure modes in products and processes as early as the design and manufacturing stages, to evaluate the possible effects of these failures, and to systematically plan preventive/corrective actions. Through theoretical knowledge, case studies and group work, participants gain the foundation to apply the FMEA technique effectively in their own business processes.
The training covers the FMEA concept and general approaches, risk management, FMEA types, DFMEA and PFMEA, prioritization and rating matrices (RPN), the FMEA form and special applications, supporting methods, improvement and action planning, and evaluation–review. The 7 fundamental steps of the AIAG & VDA approach — planning and preparation, structure analysis, function analysis, failure analysis, risk analysis (S-O-D), optimization, documentation and follow-up — are covered with hands-on practice.
