AIAG Core Tools – Control Plan Training
The Control Plan is a core quality management system requirement, mandatory under IATF 16949 in the automotive industry. It defines the product and process characteristics that must be controlled to deliver defect-free products meeting customer and engineering expectations; it establishes the documentation structure in which prototype, pre-launch, Safe Launch and production controls are planned. Grupas' 1-day classroom training addresses the PFD → FMEA → Control Plan relationship end to end, equipping participants with the capability to build an applicable control strategy supported by sample formats.
Benefits of the Training for Your Company
- Full compliance with IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements: reduced risk of nonconformity in audit and PPAP processes
- Zero-defect oriented production: lower scrap, rework and customer complaint costs through correct designation of special characteristics (SC/CC)
- Phase-based control capability: correct design of prototype, pre-launch, Safe Launch and production control plans, and a smooth transition to serial production
- A consistent, traceable quality system integrated with FMEA, Reverse FMEA and LPA (Layered Process Audit)
- Rapid intervention in abnormal situations thanks to effective reaction plans, reducing downtime and quarantine costs
- Efficiency in control costs and process stability with SPC, Cpk/Ppk and optimized sampling frequencies
- Creating an in-house standard with control plan checklists, forms and examples; discipline in revision management
- The right control approach for highly automated and Black Box processes
Who Should Attend?
Middle and senior managers, quality and production engineers and technical staff of manufacturing companies, primarily automotive OEMs and suppliers. Attendance is limited to a maximum of 15 people; participants receive a Certificate of Attendance, and those who pass, if an exam is administered, receive a Certificate of Achievement.
