AIAG Core Tools – MSA (Measurement System Analysis) Training
How much can you trust your measurement results? Within the scope of the IATF 16949:2016 Quality Management System, MSA (Measurement System Analysis) is a mandatory Core Tool for step-by-step verification of the reliability of all measurement systems used in advanced product quality planning (APQP) and process design processes. This Grupas training is built on the MSA reference manual published by AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group) and complies with the current revision.
The training covers, step by step and hands-on, how to distinguish measurement system-related variation from total variation; data collection, repeatability (EV), reproducibility (AV), Gage R&R calculation, part variation (PV), total variation (TV), percentage calculation and acceptance criteria (%GRR < 10% acceptable, 10–30% conditional, > 30% rejected).
Benefits for Your Company
- Secures new product launch processes by guaranteeing that critical characteristics defined by the customer are measured correctly.
- Reduces incorrect accept/reject decisions by analyzing the capability and reliability of measurement systems used in serial production.
- Raises the quality of data-driven decisions by ensuring product and process performance is evaluated correctly.
- Facilitates audit and customer approval processes by supporting compliance with IATF 16949 and AIAG standard requirements.
- Lowers external dependency and poor quality costs by enabling teams to plan and interpret Gage R&R studies on their own.
Who Is It For?
Designed for middle and senior managers, engineers and technical staff of companies operating in the automotive industry and its supply chain.
