AIAG Core Tools – FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) Training
FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) is a systematic risk analysis method used to identify potential failure modes during the design and production stages of products and processes, to evaluate the potential effects of these failures, and to define preventive/corrective actions. Grupas' 2-day hands-on classroom training has been prepared with reference to the AIAG / VDA FMEA 1st Edition 2019 manual; through theoretical knowledge, case studies and group work, it enables participants to apply the technique effectively within their own business processes.
The training content covers the FMEA concept and general approaches, risk management, FMEA types, the 7-step AIAG & VDA process (planning and preparation, structure analysis, function analysis, failure analysis, risk analysis, optimization, documentation and monitoring), RPN prioritization and rating matrices, DFMEA and PFMEA applications, a case study, improvement and action planning, and review.
